Course Manager Resignation – February 2023

Dear Members,

Regretfully we advise our Course Manager Superintendent Neil Graham has tendered his resignation after more than 7 years of loyal and outstanding service.  This was a very tough decision for Neil who openly stated how much the club means to him and the great relationship and friendships he enjoyed with his team and MCC staff.  He thanked members and management for their continual support and the positive encouragement he received throughout his service.

As you can imagine, Neil’s role with the MCC brings with it significant responsibilities, expectations and a 100% commitment and dedication to the job.  Neil is a perfectionist, and the improvements and quality of the course are outstanding.  His all-round ability to meet the agronomy requirements, his far reaching knowledge across so many facets of the job and his dedication to his craft is second to none in the industry.  His achievements and expertise were acknowledged by his peers in 2020 when he was awarded the ‘Superintendent of the Year’ in the WA Golf Industry Awards, a fitting and well deserved recognition for Neil.

The MCC has had the privilege of his skill and professionalism throughout his entire time at our club but after nearly 45 years in the industry, much of which involving significant responsibilities, Neil has decided it is time to look to different opportunities in his latter working years.  Accordingly, he will be stepping back from the Course Superintendent position but will be staying in the golfing industry in a consultancy role for a leading course contract company.

Fortunately, the same company consults for the MCC, and Neil is very keen to keep his association and is very willing to assist the club during the transition year.  He has a great relationship with staff and members alike and we are so pleased he will stay associated with our club as a professional and more importantly, as a valued friend and colleague.  Neil will be leaving on Friday 3rd March so make sure you catch up with him and show your appreciation.

To Neil and Jacquie, we thank you for your commitment and the huge difference you have made to our club, and on behalf of the MCC management, members, and staff, we wish you both nothing but the best for your future.

Kind Regards
